Platform foundation

The cloud foundation behind Loop.

AWS provides cloud services for LoopdUp hosting, protected business connections and selected POS tasks.

Current scope

Platform foundation

AWS is infrastructure used by LoopdUp. You do not need a separate AWS account to connect your venue. Individual features remain subject to their own rollout and setup requirements.

What you need

  • A Loop account with the permissions needed for the relevant venue and workflow.

Hosting and business workflows

AWS hosts the LoopdUp website and supports the app’s cloud services. It also handles selected email and file tasks, using the information needed for the feature you use.

Protected account connections

Credentials for connected services are encrypted and accessed by authorized workflows when needed. Loop also protects your login without storing your original password.

Controlled POS tasks

Selected POS tasks can run through a controlled connection to the provider’s account. Loop checks the correct venue, account and permitted action. Supported changes require manager approval.

Data location and other processors

LoopdUp’s current core AWS environment uses the Singapore region. Connected services and AI providers may process relevant information in other locations under their own terms. AWS hosting does not mean every piece of information stays inside AWS. See the Privacy Policy for the categories of information and processors involved.

Technical details
  • AWS Amplify hosts the static marketing site. Application services run in the separate AWS application environment.
  • AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store SecureString provides encrypted integration credential storage with access controlled by AWS permissions. Loop login passwords use one-way hashes.
  • Selected file and email-import workflows use Amazon S3 and Amazon SES. AWS Bedrock AgentCore Browser is used for controlled provider browser sessions.
